The King River Horse and Pony Club held its annual dressage day on Saturday 6th June, which also included the Great Southern Zone dressage try-outs.
 
It was a well-supported event with riders representing Albany Pony Club, West Plantagenet Pony Club, Kojonup Pony Club and King River Pony Club. 

There were many young rider and pony combinations coming to try dressage for the very first time, riding in the Preparatory classes.  This is a promising sign for the future of dressage in the region.

There some outstanding performances from these young combinations with Alexa Bell from Kojonup Pony Club and her pony, Beelo-Bi Ocker scoring over 70% in both of her Preliminary tests. 

King River Pony Club riders, Felicity Ericsson and her new pony, Welsh Cob, Nelson won the 11 years and Under Preparatory A and Asha Bristow and her Welsh Cob, Maggie May won the 11 years and under Preparatory B.
