As we have been covering events in this state in the WA SHOW SCENE for the past 41 years it was a hard decision to change from print to digital while the virus is around and people are staying at home. It's difficult to imagine not having any coverage of WA's (usually) thriving equestrian scene for the 10,000 Hoofbeats readers who are our fellow West Australians.

So we will include any of your club, event or personal horse happenings up on the web for the time being. Just email them to

How does this affect subscribers?
Please be assured that your current or new print subscription will just be put on 'hold' and will resume when the situation changes.

To support Hoofbeats in its endeavour to continue to bring more content to horse owners please consider subscribing to our app (1, 3 or 6 issues) or the printed magazine. A big thanks to those who have already shown their support for our small business.

Perhaps now is a good time to try your hand at writing an article or two about how you are managing your horses and your own fitness, your training, what this extra time at home with your horse has allowed you to try, how you are managing if your horse is on agistment and how you are keeping in touch with your equestrian friends? Along with any general training or riding features for horse or rider that you may have the expertise to write.

Be assured that WA Show Scene will be back once we are all out there showing our horses again , meanwhile stay safe and hi ho hi ho it's digital we go.
