COOL HEAT ALL WEATHER BLANKET This horse blanket features built in fl exible insulators allowing the horse to naturally control its body temperature by lowering their hair follicles to keep cool, and raising the follicles to retain heat. It was designed to address the problems associated with traditional blankets, which completely inhibit the horses natural temperature control (thermal regulation) by flattening the hair. Nature intends the hair to stand up when the horse is cold, trapping the body heat against the skin, and when the body heats up, the hair is lowered so the heat quickly dissipates through the hair and away from the body. Due to unseasonal weather conditions it’s diffi cult to know what the temperature will be during the course of the day or night. The horse getting too hot can cause serious problems such as sweating, heat stress and the like. Heat stress damages the internal organs and sweat causes skin conditions, which makes the skin very itchy so hence the horse rubs all day and prematurely destroys its blanket. When the weather turns cold a horse with a traditional blanket cannot stand its hair up to trap the heat so the heat goes through the fl attened hair follicles and straight through the blanket. The Cool Heat Blanket shields the horse from the direct wind chill and rain with a 600 denier outer shield, while underneath the horse can control their temperature no matter how much the temperature fluctuates by simply raising and lowering their hair to the required level as nature intended. |
